How to access Wellbeing Lincs
Can anyone access the service?
Anyone aged 18 or over can access Wellbeing Lincs; where they meet four or more of the eligibility criteria.

Is the service free?
The tailored package of support, advice and guidance of Wellbeing Lincs’ service is free. However, some things require us to carry out an assessment to determine what extra help you need. There may be a charge for aids, adaptations, telecare and response.

If you are supported by a charity, support agency or other national or local organisation they can contact us on your behalf.
What will happen?
Following an initial, brief phone assessment, a Trusted Assessor will conduct a home visit, usually within a week.
A Generic Support Officer will develop a package of help, advice and guidance to support you in meeting your needs and assist you over a period, of up to 12 weeks.
Charged-for aids and adaptations can be installed, and resettlement support given following hospital discharge to assist you in your independent living.
Is the service confidential?
To give you the best possible advice and support we may need to talk to other agencies. We will always ask for your permission to share your information with others.
Does the service provide personal care?
Wellbeing Lincs does not provide personal or medical care or health assessments.
We are not funded to help with:
Getting up and/or going to bed
Dressing
Washing or having a bath
Using a toilet or other personal hygiene
Eating and drinking
Domestic help (such as washing up and laundry)
Services provided by doctors or medical professionals

What if I am not happy with the service?
You should contact us straight away if you are not happy with the service and we will do our best to sort out the problem.
Can I refer a family member who doesn’t live in my area?
Wellbeing Lincs operates across the whole of Lincolnshire. The same level of service is offered regardless of location, to everyone who meets the eligibility criteria.
As long as your family member is happy for you to contact us, you can refer them to us. We will need to contact them directly to confirm this.
Are there any tools to help me with money?
Financial resilience is one of the most important factors in maintaining independence and a sense of wellbeing.
There are a number of tools and easy-to-use calculators here ( Tools and calculators | MoneyHelper) from Money Helper, a Government service that can help you budget, save and cut back on costs.
They will help you quickly work out the figures you need for some of the most common money situations you may find yourself in. They can help you find impartial advisers, find out how much you might have in retirement, tell you how much extra money you need for your baby and much more.
